@Komaki Minami High School was established in 1980 in Aichi Prefecture. Since its establishment our school has fostered about 9000 competent graduates, who have made important contributions to every sector of society.
@The emphasis at our school is placed on educating happy, independent, self-disciplined citizens and developing the students' personalities to be promising citizens of the local community, the nation and the world while they are expanding their world vision and fostering an international sense.

The philosophies of our school are
1 The students are strictly demanded to attend to their work in good faith, esteem life, as well as respect things around them and lead a wholesome life.
2 The students are strongly encouraged to find their own strengths, make their own efforts to improve them and develop their creative personality to become promising individuals who can make contributions to their community and country.
3 The students are encouraged to train themselves to be persons of sturdy body and challenging spirits.
Enrollment, Daily Program, High Education Guidance and so on
@Our school has eight classes for each grade, totaling 24 classes. Each class is composed of about 40 students consisting of both boys and girls. The nominated number of student is 960 and the number of full-time teachers is 55,including the principal and two vice-principals.
@Each lesson is 50 minutes long and students have 32 lessons a week. Teachers make their lessons with a good plan, while they are taking careful concern of the students' comprehension. At the same time,teachers try hard to help each student find their potential ability and flourish it as much as possible.
@Our school students have been among the top-ranking students in a number of passing entrance examinations. The number is increasing every year, due to the extra lessons we provide for our students on Saturdays and during long vacations to perpare for university entrance examinations.
@Also, we have air-conditioned equipment in all rooms, so we are able to study and learn in a comfortable environment.
@On following pages we will introduce you to various areas of our school life, such as facilities, club activities, and some school events.
We have sufficient facilities and equipment for students
to enjoy a solid high school life, such as a gym, a swimming pool, an athletic ground,tennis courts , an audio-visual room , science laboratories , a personal computer room , a library as well as many other facilities.

CLUB ACTIVITIES
@Our students participate in their extracurricular activities positively. Many students belong to clubs and practice their activities eagerly.
The sports clubs: athletics, baseball, soccer, volleyball, basketball , handball, softball , tennis , table tennis , new gymnastics , judo, kendo.
The cultural clubs: drama, brass band, painting, tea ceremony, photography,handicraft,chorus.

@Some of our teachers have excellent skills to lead the club activities and they help the students to develop their ability to the highest level possible. Various clubs have achieved successful results in competitions or tournaments around Aichi Prefecture and in the Tokai area.
@ Makinan Festival\An athletic meet and a cultural event
@The athletic meeting and the cultural festival are held for three days in September.

@ The competition for the best performance of cheer leading and the best work for big mascots is especially enjoyed by all the students, and teachers of our school.

@This is an opportunity for students to show their talents in various fields. Some classes put on a play, open restaurants and provide all students and teachers with many kinds of food over two days of the cultural Festival. And other classes demonstrate what they have been researching.

Interclass Ball Games
@Ball Games are held two times a year. Before Summer Vacation and Spring Vacation,students are looking forward to enjoying ball game matches, such as volleyball and soccer, participating as members of their class for purpose of promoting friendship among classmates.
